INNOVATIVE APPROACHES TO TEACHING HUMAN ANATOMY IN MEDICAL EDUCATION

Human anatomy is one of the fundamental disciplines in medical education, providing essential knowledge about the structure and organization of the human body. Traditional anatomy teaching methods, primarily based on lectures and cadaver dissection, remain valuable but often face challenges related to student engagement, limited resources, and technological advancements. This article examines modern approaches to anatomy teaching, including digital technologies, three-dimensional (3D) visualization, virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), simulation-based learning, and problem-based learning (PBL). The study highlights how these innovative methods improve students’ understanding, motivation, and retention of anatomical knowledge. Integrating traditional and technology-enhanced approaches can significantly increase the effectiveness of anatomy education and contribute to the development of competent healthcare professionals.
