Throughfall measurement in natural hardwood forest and betel palm plantation

Throughfall plots at a natural hardwood forest, betel palm plantation and open area had been established at Lienhuachi experimental forest in central Taiwan. Each plot had 81 simple throughfall gages with an orifice diameter of 20 cm to measure spatial distribution of throughfall. Required gages of measuring throughfall had been discussed in this study.
