Microbiomes of trombiculid mites. Raw sequence reads.. Trombuculidae

The microbiome of trombiculid mites (chiggers), the vectors of scrub typhus, in the natural environment is largely unknown. The microbiome may impact on vector competence as in other systems, such as mosquitoes. These data represent microbiomes for individual wild chigger specimens from Thailand, from pools of the same species from different Thai provinces, and pools of multiple species from the same province.
