Photograph of Goldenrod Showboat seen from the stern, ca.1900-1910. At center, the large two-story showboat is seen sitting on the calm water. On the lower level near the stern, four columns are seen with two ropes running between each column. Below these columns, the words "Golden Showboat" are written along the boat's rectangular frame. Near one of the columns, a man is visible leaning against one of the ropes. Behind the man, two large doorways and two large windows are seen leading to the ship's interior. Above the columns on the lower deck, several more decorative columns are seen on the second story Four windows and a single doorway are seen leading into the second level. A decorative railing also surrounds the entire second level of the ship. To the right of the image, the long side of the boat is visible. Several windows and doorways can be seen on both levels of the boat. Surrounding the ceilings of each deck, a string of lights can be seen. On the roof of the ship, a small square cabin surrounded by lights and other equipment is visible. In the extreme background to the right, a large tree can be seen.
