Bronchial Epithelial cells were exposed to microparticles generated from mycobacterium abscessus MAB cell wall per an in-house protocol. Control group was exposed to saline. Differentially expressed genes related to MAB cell wall particles were determined. Overall design: Lung on membrane model was developed using human bronchial epithelial cells and lung small vessels endothelial cells. Air liquid interface (ALI) challenged with MAB microparticles (5 samples). Controls challenged with saline (5 samples). Samples were collected after 48 hours. RNA extracted and RNASeq was performed.
