This is a data file matching the manuscript, entitled “A Multi-Agent Simulation-Based Decision Support Tool for Sustainable Tourism Land Use Planning in Rural China”, to be submitted to the Land, Manuscript ID: land-3995081.This study initiated its analytical process by systematically processing and standardizing key geospatial datasets in ArcGIS 10.8, such as slope, elevation, temperature, and distance to main road. Concurrently, ecological protection rigid boundaries were delineated. All these environmental factors were uniformly assigned as attribute data to 30-meter resolution grid cells, constructing a comprehensive spatial database. Building upon this foundation, a multi-agent simulation model was developed on the NetLogo 6.3.0 platform. Preprocessed spatial data were imported as the environmental layer via the GIS extension module, establishing an agent decision-making rule system. Subsequently, the model simulated and projected the evolution of tourism land use in the study area for the years 2028 and 2033, based on agent preference weights calibrated to different development scenarios. Finally, the model output the spatial patterns of land use under each scenario through its visualization interface and statistically analyzed the changes in land area corresponding to decisions made by each type of agent.
