The experimental period was the 94 days between 11 June and 12 September 1973, in a 4800 square mile target area just northwest of Miami, Florida. The program consisted of a core program and fourteen sub-programs. Seven NOAA units, two university departments and an NRL group participated in this extensive study of modified and unmodified Florida convective rainfall.
