Manuscripted submitted to Cytometry, Part A; "A Novel Flow Cytometric Application Discriminates Among the Effects of Chemical Inhibitors on Various Phases of Babesia divergens Intra-Erythrocytic Cycle". Conclusion: EGTA did not interfere with the intra-erythrocytic parasite development but instead arrested them within the RBC by inhibiting egress, resulting in storage of higher than normal infective units within a single RBC. QC of the instrument was performed using the CS&T beads for Diva8 manufactured by BD. Experiment QC: Single stained controls, unstained cells and replicates in treated and control samples.
