Seaweeds, namely, <em>Sargassum myriocystum, Caulerpa racemosa</em> and <em>Gracilaria edulis,</em> were used for seed treatment (dry and wet) and foliar application in the case of pigeon pea. Among the treatments, seeds infused (wet seeds treatment) with S<em>argassum myriocystum</em> (1%) for 3 h along with a foliar spray of seaweed extracts (5%) recorded higher field emergence, growth, relative growth rate, leaf area index and duration, total chlorophyll pigment, crop growth rate and net assimilation rate
