Amplicon sequencing analysis of bacterial 16S rRNA gene in a iron-toxic paddy field

The iron (Fe) toxicity of rice is one of the serious problems in some areas of West African countries. The present study investigated the bacterial community structure, mainly involved in the redox cycle of Fe, in the rhizosphere soil and rice roots of a Fe-toxic paddy field in the Kou valley, Burkina Faso. The community structure in the rhizosphere soil and rice roots in a paddy field in Japan were also analyzed for comparison.
