"The growing infiltration of renewable sources of energy in grid-connecting hybrid power systems has generated a great need of practical working data that incorporates uncertainty in the inception of renewable energy\/power generation and load demand. This paper has provided generated random-variability operational profiles of a grid-connected hybrid renewable energy system that combines solar photovoltaic system (PV), wind energy conversion system (WECS), battery energy storage system (BESS), and power electronic conversion interface. The generated profiles were created to facilitate the analysis of the reliability of the system, energy management behavior, dynamics of importing and exporting power to a grid, and evaluating the quality of power under a deteriorated operating condition. In comparison with deterministic profiles, the suggested operational records show stochastic changes in the renewable resources and demand, allowing a more devoted evaluation of the hybrid system performance in terms of planning, optimal control and optimization studies.To model the uncertainty, there were two random variability (RV) which were availed in two dimensions: day-to-day variation and a timestep variation. The given profiles had six RV cases, which included (5x5), (5x10), (5x15), (10x5), (10x10), and (10x15) where the first term signifies day-to-day variability percentage, and the second term signifies timestep variability percentage. These scenario of uncertainties compress medium to high variability in solar irradiation, the velocity of the wind and electrical demand of the building enabling comparative research on system sensitivity and vulnerability. The profiles created were saved in spreadsheet accessible files so that easy processing could be performed and direct entry into simulation processes could be done.The operational profiles give comprehensive list of techno-economic and energy-performance indicators like net present cost (NPC), levelized cost of energy (LCOE), operating cost, initial capital cost, renewable fraction, component-level production of electricity, battery charge-discharge contribution, inverter usage and purchased and sold grid energy annually. The profiles are applied to determine the best hybrid configurations in situations of uncertainty, and also, to compare scheduling strategies, such as rule-based energy management system, optimization-based dispatch and machine-learning-assisted decision systems. Moreover, the data can be used to select representative operating cases in which to further evaluate the power quality, such as high renewable penetration periods, battery transient switching events, and grid export saturation conditions that one might consider in more detail in determining the behavior of voltage regulation, frequency stability, and harmonic distortion in power electronic interfaces.The originality of this publication is that it provides a set of operational profiles to structure uncertainty-driven behavior in grid-connected solar-wind-BESS hybrid system. The records that have been provided back the reproducible research and may assist in the development and validation of improved hybrid energy system control strategies in various uncertain conditions."
