The dataset presents the measured mean roughness Rz during DMLM in the alloy IN718, using the parameter set published at 10.15480/336.4351. Both as-built and sandblasted conditions are evaluated for downskin (oriented towards the build platform) and upskin surfaces (oriented away from the build platform), and the values are presented in dependence of the overhang angle.
