资源简介:
This is a video showing the numerical errors of potential temperature, vertical velocity and vertical pressure gradient force of the 2D rising bubble experiment using the 2D nonhydrostatic model with 6 different terrain-following coordinates - BTF and HTF1 - HTF4 in the order of columns. The numerical error of one coordinate is defined as the numerical result of the coordinate minus that of the nonterrain experiment (the experiment without terrain). The model is described by Appendix A, and the coordinates are defined by Equation (1), both in Yang et al. (2023). (a) - (e) are the numerical errors of potential temperature, (f) - (j) are those of vertical velocity, and (k) - (o) are those of vertical pressure gradient force. (p) - (r) are average errors. Differences between errors of HTF1 - HTF4 and that of BTF are also plotted in (s). The model integrates 1000 s ahead of the initial time. The domain shown here spans from -6 km to 6 km horizontally and from 0 km to 12 km vertically.
