Triplophysa rosa, Trilophysa bleekeri Transcriptome

Triplophysa rosa (Teleostei, Cypriniformes, Nemacheilidae) is a typical cavefish, and it has a reduction or total loss of eyes. T. bleekeri belongs to the same genus with T. rosa, is a surface fish with normal eyes that lives in open river or shallow streams. In this research we used RNA-seq to identify differently expressed genes and positively selected genes between normal surface (T. bleekeri) fish and cavefish (T. rosa) to reveal a potential mechanism of eye degeneration.
