As of March 2024, the installed base of anesthesia machines in Chilean hospitals was estimated at 1,403 units. C-arms and laparoscopic equipment, tools used during surgery along with anesthesia machines, had an installed base of 252 and 243 units, respectively. In 2020, the South American country made use of 1,161 operating rooms, less than those of more populated Latin American countries such as Brazil and Mexico, but also fewer than the Dominican Republic.
