Contingency and space as structural concerns in a folio of interactive electroacoustic compositions

The folio addresses issues ofinteractivity and develops an ecological approach to both performer-computer and composer-computer interaction. In addressing these areas some specific definitions of both contingency and space have been formulated and applied throughout the composition ofthe works. These are detailed in the accompanying critical commentary. The commentary also serves to contextualize the folio works, placing them in the continuum of computer music composition and details the compositional thinking and methodology behind each ofthe pieces
