Polygonatum cyrtonema rhizome sequencing

Polygonatum cyrtonema is a rhizome-propagating herb, P. cyrtonema polysaccharides (PCPs) contents in rhizomes among 11 different sources were firstly measured and compared, the transcriptome profile of two germplasms with largest contrasts in PCPs contents involved in PCP biosynthesis were then identified. Our findings are aim to provide basic information for further research of P. Cyrtonema breeding programs, especially genetically manipulate PCP regulation at the molecular level
