From BIM to LdE-e: data extraction engine using ifcOpenShell, room inventory, and JSON generator for federated BIM models

This Python code contains the engine for extracting structural, technical and spatial information from federated Building Information Modelling (BIM) files in IFC format (version 2x3). The extracted data is organised in accordance with the framework of the ‘Electronic Building Book’ (LdE-e). It includes technical properties extracted from building elements, counts of elements (e.g. equipment, sensors) and a detailed inventory of dwellings and rooms (spaces), which includes data on habitability and facilities.
