Our research indicates that hUC-MSC-exo can improve depression-like behaviour caused by high-altitude hypoxia exposure through the brain-gut axis pathway. hUC-MSC-exo can induce changes in the gut microbiota, and which regulate changes in metabolites in the brain. Furthermore, transcriptomics analysis shows that the regulatory effect of hUC-MSC-exo may be achieved through the 5-HT6/cAMP pathway.
