Savannah Sparrows are a widespread North American species breeding from Alaska to Guatemala. Four subspecies occur in grassland and tidal marsh habitats in California. Both the state endangered Belding's Savannah Sparrow and state species of special concern Bryant's Savannah Sparrow primarily occur in tidal marshes. Sampling for this BioProject include all four subspecies and span the entire California distribution.. These data have been produced as part of the CCGP. Sequencing was conducted with HiFi Pacific Biosciences long reads at UCDavis Genome Core, Dovetail's OmniC libraries, and Illumina sequencing at UCBerkeley QB3 Genomics Core.
