This project performs simulations to study the seismic response of seven different bridge classes. The contributions of this project are: 1) the finite element models are parameterized to facilitate regional level probabilistic seismic performance assessment; and 2) they allow inclusion of deterioration due to aging and environmental exposure when assessing seismic behavior. The simulation results could be used for developing parameterized fragility models, i.e. models for conditional probability of exceeding a given damage state. They also offer a dataset for testing alternative machine learning techniques or surrogate modeling approaches for bridge seismic response prediction.
