Taraxacum kok-saghyz Rodin (TKS) is a promising commercial alternative NR yielding plant. Cultivating TKS with a high NR content is an important breeding target, and developing molecular markers related to the NR content can effectively accelerate the breeding process of TKS. To construct a high-density TKS genetic map and identify QTLs for the NR content, a F1 mapping population of TKS derived from two parents with significant differences in the NR content was constructed. Based on this F1 population, the first high-density TKS genetic map was constructed based on the bin markers derived from WGR. Subsequently, QTLs for the NR content were mapped and analyzed. The results lay a solid foundation for verifying candidate genes, gene cloning and MAS in TKS.
