Visual monitoring of agricultural landscapes in Finland, 1996 - 2010

The data originate from national monitoring on the effects of the Finnish agri-environment support scheme (MYTVAS). A photographic method was developed for documenting Finnish cultural landscapes and monitoring their changes. Identically composed photographs were taken repeatedly at specified vantage points in 13 agricultural landscapes in different parts of Finland. The initial documentation was carried out in summer 1996, repeat documentation in 2000, 2005 and 2010. The methods are described in the following publication: Heikkilä, T. 2007.
