Outbreak of Foodborne Illness Caused by Salmonella Braenderup ST2443 in China

This study offers a comprehensive analysis of an S. Braenderup outbreak in China, focusing on epidemiological patterns, pathogenic characteristics, and molecular features, including Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS). A detailed epidemiological investigation was conducted, involving the collection and analysis of rectal swabs, fecal samples, food, and environmental samples. These samples underwent rapid pathogen detection, isolation, serotyping, and WGS to trace the infection source and characterize the outbreak strain.
