资源简介:
This dataset accompanies the study “Bacterial homologs of innate eukaryotic antiviral defenses provide phage protection” and contains experimental data generated to investigate how bacterial defense systems share functional similarities with eukaryotic antiviral mechanisms. The research objective was to identify, characterize, and functionally validate bacterial genes that act as homologs of innate immune components, with a focus on their ability to protect against bacteriophage infection. Data were collected through a combination of comparative genomics, molecular cloning, genetic knockouts, phage infection assays, and high-throughput sequencing to assess bacterial survival and phage replication. The dataset includes genomic annotations, experimental measurements of phage resistance, phylogenetic trees, HMM profiles, pangenomic analyses, alphafold results, all supplementary data from the publication and sequencing-based readouts, providing both raw and processed data suitable for further validation, comparative analysis, and reproduction of the study’s findings.
