资源简介:
The multi-index method (MIM) (refer to Ticehurst, Teng and Sengupta 2022 in the Related Links for a description of the method) was developed for mapping surface water across the Murray-Darling Basin (MDB) based on Landsat surface reflectance data available in Digital Earth Australia. More than thirty years of two-monthly images of surface water extent across the whole MDB have been produced using this method, along with Water Observations from Space (WOfS) to help fill in gaps associated with cloud cover. The data were produced as part of the Murray-Darling Basin Ecosystem Function (MDB-EF) and Murray-Darling Water and Environment Research Program (MD-WERP) projects. This is Version 2 of this product, spanning from 1988 to June 2022, with an updated version from 1988 to December 2022. Differences between this version and the original version are described in the metadata document (see Supporting files). Also view the metadata documents for a description of the data layers, product limitations and updates.\nLineage: Digital Earth Australia provides analysis-ready Landsat surface reflectance and Water Observations (previously known as Water Observations from Space – WOfS) data. These Landsat data from 1988 to June 2022 were extracted and processed using the CSIRO EASI platform and jupyter notebooks.
