On the basis of our proteome data of strawberry , a probable polyamine oxidase 5, FaPAO5, was screened, after which a similar trend in the transcript and protein levels during ripening was confirmed. Our studies have revealed that strawberry fruit ripening is related to FaPAO5. To clarify the negative regulatory function of FaPAO5 during strawberry fruit ripening, the RNAi and control fruits underwent an RNA-seq analysis.
