<p>Trace element concentrations in particles collected with GO-Flo bottles (GT10 and GT11) and analyzed with inductively-coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS). Concentrations of labile, refractory, and total metal fractions are reported.</p>
<p>Trace element quotas measured in plankton cells with single-cell synchrotron x-ray fluorescence (SXRF) analysis. Total concentrations of cellular metals are reported normalized to cellular P.</p>
