NRS-16415 | Index to Charge Books [Bathurst Police Station]

This series comprises an Index to the Charge books of the Bathurst Police Station.The handwritten index books are arranged alphabetically by the first letter only of the surname. Index entries were added chronologically as new charges were recorded. For each person, the index entry records the page number and charge book number. There are indexes that cover the periods 1963 to 1972 (covering charge numbers 63/272 to 72/780) and 1973 to 197(starting with charge 73/1238 and possibly covering Charge books in the range 107 to 127). There is also an index to Charge books 131 to 198. The volume marked only '131' appears to be a partial index to some 1978 charges, which may also be included in the more complete index to Charge books 131 to 198.
