Depth2CHM: Standardized airborne LiDAR-derived 3 m canopy height models, pretrained weights, and Saihanba canopy height products

Introduction Dataset Contents:1. Training Data: Heterogeneous 3 m CHM products from heterogeneous airborne LiDAR datasets collected across 12 countries, including Spain, Australia, the United States, Italy, Germany, New Zealand, Finland, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Brazil, Switzerland, and Malaysia.2. Model Code (file name: Depth2CHM_model): The core implementation of the Depth2CHM model.3. Pretrained Weights (file name: Depth2CHM-1): The pretrained weights of Depth2CHM.4. Landscape-scale products (file name: SHB-Depth2CHM): A sample 3 m resolution CHM product for Saihanba National Forest Park, generated from 2022 PlanetScope imagery. Usage Instructions:To run the model, you need to modify CHECKPOINT_PATH, INPUT_FOLDER, and OUTPUT_FOLDER in the script "demo_metric_batch.py". Note that the direct output images from the model are depth images. To convert the depth values into the final CHM (in meters), please use the following formula: CHM = (500 - Depth_Value) / 10. Source datasets and attribution The training CHM products were derived from openly available airborne LiDAR datasets provided by multiple national and regional agencies. Original airborne LiDAR datasets are not redistributed and remain subject to their respective licenses and attribution requirements.
