Mapping the Landscape of Permaculture Research (2001–2025): A Bibliographic Coupling and Co-Word Analysis Approach

Permaculture is a lifestyle approach that imitates natural ecosystems and is based on universal principles. Its implementation varies according to personal, community, economic, social, and political changes, that it ultimately fosters a cultural revolution of caring for the earth, caring for people, and fair sharing behavior that includes responsible production and consumption. This bibliometric review aims to map the structure of permaculture research from 2001-2025, highlighting the current research trends and future directions in this fields. The review uses bibliographic coupling and co-word analysis on 642 documents retrieved from the Scopus database.
