Monthly export value of olive oil from Tunisia 2020, by country of destination

In the first quarter of 2020, the total value of olive oil exported from Tunisia increased each month, reaching 260 million Tunisian dinars by March 2020. In the same month, olive oil for the value of over 135 million Tunisian dinars was exported to Spain, representing Tunisia’s leading export partner for this product. Moreover, the export value to Italy and the United States of America exceeded 40 million Tunisian dinars in the same month.Overall, the economic crisis caused by the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak did not significantly impact the exports of olive oil from Tunisia, whose value continued to increase. In 2019 and 2020, olive oil was Tunisia's leading food product in terms of export value.
