资源简介:
Data accompanying the paper titled: Towards parametrization of precipitating shallow cumulus cloud organization via moisture variance.   This repository contains configuration files and output statistics for five idealized simulations run with LES model MicroHH (van Heerwaarden et al., 2017).   The experimental setup of all cases is based on the Rain in Cumulus over the Ocean (RICO) field experiment as used in the GEWEX Cloud System Study (GCSS) RICO model inter comparison study (Rauber et al., 2007; vanZanten et al, 2011). The experiment, defined as the standard case (referenced as STD), uses the GCSS configuration, while the others are simulations with deviating vertical moisture contents in the cloud layer and the free atmosphere. The moisture content increases from the driest case, DRY, through STD, MID, MST, and HIGH. All simulations are performed on a 50 x 50 x 6 km grid with an isotropic grid spacing of 25 m.     The files are organized in the following way: For each case exist configuration files for the MicroHH simulation: an '.ini' file and a '.py' file that generates initial conditions and forcings. Output statistic files end with '.nc' and contain domain averaged statistics of the total simulation duration of 60 h with a time resolution of 1 min. In addition, for the simulation 'MID', there are additional files containing the domain data of cloud liquid water content at 2 h, 14 h, 16 h, and 30 h of the simulation.
