<div style='text-align:Left;'><div><div><p style='margin:0 0 14 0;'><span><span>The Predator Monitoring Sampling layer is used as the Sampling Frame for Predator Surveys conducted by the Department's Predator Monitoring Unit. The Sampling Frame is defined by a grid of 4 square mile hexagons (sampling units) covering the extent of California. The Unique_ID field in the attribute table is to identify individual sampling units. This layer was first created as the Sampling Frame for the 2008-2012 Multi-Region Mesocarnivore survey effort funded by the State Wildlife Grant T-11-1. The layer has since been used for multi-species predator surveys targeting the Sierra Nevada red fox and Wolverine.</span></span></p><p style='margin:0 0 14 0;'><span><span>This layer is also used as the spatial component for the database housing predator survey results, and disseminating this information out to stakeholders and land managers. </span></span></p><p><span /></p></div></div></div>
