Single cell transcriptomic analysis of hematopoetic stem/progenitor cells (HSPCs) from bone marrow and spleen during hemolytic anemia

HSPCs possess multipotent differentiation potential and are responsive to extrinsic stress. In this study, we employed single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) to investigate the response of HSPCs to acute blood loss. Overall design: HSPCs (lineage-Sca-1+c-kit+ cells) were isolated from bone marrow and spleen treated with either phenylhydrazine (PHZ) or control PBS using fluorescence-activated cell sorting (FACS).
