Ichthyoplankton abundance at different layers of the water column during CANOA survey (November 2008) in the Central North Atlantic [Dataset]

This dataset gives information on fish eggs and larval abundances at different layers of the water column in the Central North Atlantic in November 2008. This research explores the diel vertical distribution of fish early stages in relation to oceanographic features. It was observed that larvae of the majority of species showed shallower distributions during the day time and reached deeper layers at night. However, the vertical stratification and depth of the thermocline largely determined the overall distribution range
