User Study - The Phantom Effect in InfoVis

Raw data obtained during the user tests conducted in the context of Carolina Pereira's Master Thesis. The goal of this user study was to analyse the expression of a cognitive bias called Phantom Effect in InfoVis and how it varies with individual differences and design choices. The expression of the Phantom Effect was measured through the type of alternative the participant would choose in the decision task presented.The experiment was conducted in person. Each participant interacted with five different visualization layouts, but only one presentation delay condition.This dataset contains anonymous data from 76 participants.
