RNA extracted from the left ventricle of 3 different mouse heart disease models, wild type, mdx, and mdx sln+/- hearts

We report that ablation of one SLN allele positively affects mouse mdx DMD heart failure model mice by several metrics including intracellular calcium handling. 3 mouse populations in a C57 genetic background, a wild type control population, an mdx heart failure model, and an mdx sln +/- . # samples of each population were sacked at 6 months old and RNA was extracted from the left ventricle and sequenced using paired-end sequencing in order to determine molecular pathways associated with cardiac pathology.
