Transcriptomes of Trypanosoma brucei and T. congolense bloodstream-form lines

T. brucei and T. congolense bloodstream-form cell lines commonly used for experimental work and derivatives thereof were submitted for RNA-Seq to analyse expression of transgenes and endogenous loci. For each sample, mRNA was purified from 1 µg of total RNA using the NEBNext Poly(A) mRNA Magnetic Isolation Module. Indexed sequencing libraries were prepared using the NEBNext Ultra Directional RNA Library Preparation Kit for Illumina and NEBNext Multiplex Oligos for Illumina, Index Primers Set 2 and Set 3. Libraries were pooled in equimolar amounts and sequenced using a NextSeq 500 System and mid-output 150 cycle kit v2.5.
