资源简介:
Tetracapsuloides bryosalmonae is a myxozoan endoparasite that causes proliferative kidney disease (PKD) in salmonids. PKD declines the wild salmonid population in Europe and causes high economic loss to salmonid industries. The life cycle of T. bryosalmonae occurs between vertebrate salmonid fish and invertebrate bryozoan hosts. T. bryosalmonae-infected salmonids (brown trout) release viable parasite spores via urine and transmit to bryozoans. Nevertheless, limited transcriptomic resources are available for this myxozoan parasite, which hampers analyses into molecular biology. To obtain large number of pure T. bryosalmonae, fluorescence-activated cell sorting (FACS) analysis was performed on infected kidney of brown trout and rainbow trout stained with anti-Tetracapsuloides bryosalmonae (PKX) monoclonal antibody.
