Precipitation Erosivity (R factor) based on RADKLIM Version 2017.002

Precipitation erosivity (R factor) is calculated based on RADKLIM-RW data of version 2017.002 (doi: 10.5676/DWD/RADKLIM_RW_V2017.002). The precipitation sums (RW) result from the radar-based precipitation estimation that are adjusted with precipitation measurements by gauges. The data underwent a post-processing including several steps of temporal and spatial smoothing. The data gives the mean value of the time span of 2001 until 2017 and is available in DHDN/Gauß-Krüger Zone 4 (EPSG 31468) on a 1 km x 1 km grid in GeoTIFF format and as Shapefile giving the mean values for German states, counties, and communities.
