small RNA sequences of Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cubense TR4

Fungal microRNA-like RNAs（milRNAs）are produced by diverse biosynthesis pathways and involved in various biological processes. However milRNAs have not been reported in Fusarium oxysporm f. sp. cubense (Foc), causal agent of banana Panama disease, which restricts banana production worldwide. In the study, we sequensed and analyzed the small RNAs of Foc TR4 isolate XJZ2 and its QDE2 gene knockout mutant. The results suggested that QDE2-dependent milRNA was related to the virulence of Foc on the early stage of infection. This study provided multilines of evidence to confirm the contribution of milRNA in the pathogenesis of Foc.
