Propagated DWV used in experimental infections in honey bee pupae

Sequenced virus isolates used in experimental infections. Initial viral populations were isolated in 2020 from individual wild-caught bees collected in New York and Pennsylvania (USA) in Fall 2019, and propagated in 2021 and 2022 to prepare highly concentrated viral stocks for experimental infections. DWV was propagated by injecting honey bees (Apis mellifera) pupae and isolating virus 3 days post-injection. Additionally includes two controls samples from 2021 (Control, PBS) to measure background DWV levels from experimental colonies.
