ARTISTIC-CONCEPTUAL AND POETIC-SYMBOLIC FEATURES OF THE PRAISE OF MUHAMMAD (PBUH) IN IMAM AL-BUSIRI'S QASIDAS

This research article comprehensively investigates the artistic-conceptual and poetic-symbolic frameworks of praising Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) within the creative paradigm of the prominent medieval Arabic panegyric poet, Imam al-Busiri. The poet’s monumental masterworks, Qasidat al-Burda and Qasidat al-Hamziyya, which occupy a significant position in the treasury of classical world literature, are critically analyzed utilizing qualitative textological, hermeneutic, and conceptual-semantic methodologies. The qualitative analysis demonstrates that while strictly retaining traditional Arabic qasida structures, al-Busiri enriched the system of metaphors, allegories, and similes with distinct religious-mystical and Sufi semes, thereby elevating the madh genre to a sophisticated aesthetic dimension. The empirical and qualitative insights of this paper serve as an active baseline for modernizing classical literature instructional modules within higher language and oriental studies curricula.
