This undergraduate dataset mainly contains data related to industrial-scale circulating fluidized bed (CFB) biomass gasification numerical simulations, pilot-scale rig validation based on CPFD numerical simulations, gasification system optimization based on Aspen Plus simulations, and other relevant content. The data mainly originate from computational numerical simulations conducted at the State Key Laboratory of Coal Combustion, Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST). All simulation data are collected and recorded in real time, and data testing, collection and analysis are carried out in accordance with relevant experimental and testing standards in the field. The work was supervised and guided by Professor Chen Hanping, Lecturer Wu Peng, and Postdoctoral Researchers Chen Xu, Chen Wei, Zou Jun and Hu Junhao from the School of Energy and Power Engineering, Huazhong University of Science and Technology. Graduate students Yang Zhao, Lu Wang, Yang Guang, Yi Wei and others established geometric models of the industrial-scale CFB and pilot-scale rig at the State Key Laboratory of Coal Combustion using ANSYS SpaceClaim Direct Modeler (SCDM) software. The gas-solid flow characteristics, temperature distribution and gas component distribution inside the reactor were predicted via Barracuda software, while the final gas composition, tar content and gasification efficiency of the gasification system were predicted using Aspen Plus software. The basic element distribution of the samples, as well as sulfur and nitrogen distributions in solid and liquid phases, were measured using an elemental analyzer at the Public Testing Center of the State Key Laboratory of Coal Combustion and the Analysis and Testing Center of HUST. Proximate analysis values of the samples were obtained in accordance with the national standard GB/T 28731-2012. The inorganic element content in the samples was determined via inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES). The yield of pyrolysis gaseous products was measured using a wet gas flowmeter and gas chromatograph, and the composition of gasified syngas was determined via gas chromatography (GC). The total size of the dataset is 10.6 MB.
