High-resolution stalagmite δ18O and rare earth element records during 110.1-103.3 ka BP, southwestern China.

We present high-resolution REE alongside oxygen isotope (δ18O) records in stalagmite SX15a from Sanxing Cave, southwestern China during 110.1-103.3 ka. This study demonstrates REE records could provide useful information for the provenance and formation process of the stalagmite. The total REE (ΣREE) record could serve as an effective indicator to reflect the local hydrological processes associated with monsoonal precipitation.
