Mansonella perstans is a filarial nematode parasite of humans, which is endemic to regions in Africa as well as in South America. The infection mansonellosis remains one of the most neglected tropical diseases. This project provides the first whole-genome sequencing and assembly data for M. perstans, from a patient-derived isolate "Mpe-Cam-2" collected in Cameroon.
