VPRS 18962 House Committee Minutes

This series comprises meeting minutes for the House Committee of the Greenvale Centre (VA 5267).  The House Committee formed with the responsibility of visiting the institution and investigating the standards and general conditions of the hospital. Issues under consideration included maintenance and repairs, equipment, rules for staff, and domestic services such as cleaning, laundry, catering an staff establishment.   The records include minutes regarding operational matters of the hospital, as well as reports made to the House Committee by the Engineer, regarding machinery and property; the Matron, regarding admissions, daily bed averages, staff resignations and commencements and midwifery bookings; and the Manager, regarding medical staff, furniture and equipment.
