Expressions found by PySR software from dataset of equations of state for neutron star matter based on relativistic mean field model with a non-linear mesonic interaction
收藏资源简介:
This dataset was generated in the context of a Masters Dissertation (https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.17158902). Finding an Equation of State (EOS) that can provide an accurate description of nuclear matter both at the atomic scale and at the astronomical scale remains a challenge. Neutron Stars (NS) are thought to be mainly composed of nuclear matter under extreme conditions, which are not yet reproducible in a laboratory environment on Earth. With the advent of multi-messenger astronomy, it is possible to obtain increasingly more accurate information from astrophysical observations of these compact stars, which are the end-stage of stellar evolution of certain higher mass stars. In order to search for possible empirical relations between Nuclear Matter Properties (NMPs) and Neutron Star Observables (NSOs) a Machine Learning (ML) technique called Symbolic Regression (SR) was used in the form of the software tool PySR, which was applied to a dataset of NMPs and NSOs from different Relativistic Mean Field (RMF) nuclear matter models. File 'my_PYSR_results.csv' holds the expressions found in all the searches performed in the study. File 'MFAP_NMP_RESCALED.csv' is a modified version of the MFAP dataset (by Malik, Tuhin and Ferreira, Márcio and Bastos Albino, Milena and Providência, Constança ; https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.7854111), used under a CC BY 4.0 license.
