The 2011 Debt Ceiling Controversy and the 2012 U.S. House Elections

This study provides preregistered information for a study of the 2012 election. The research design, list of matches, and all input variables were released before votes were counted in the 2012 election. Subsequently, the full replication data and software code were added to the study, as well as code for additional analyses suggested by reviewers.
